"Students’ activities: The students undergoing B.Tech programme participate whole heartedly in the NSS activities. The National Service Scheme is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhijis Centenary year, 1969. Motto of NSS, Not me but you (you) Since 2018 the NSS activities come under the MANDATORTY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT (MAR) as prescribed by AICTE. The various activities in which the students participated are as follows: 1. Swach Bharat Mission: Cleaning the Krishnanagar railway platform 2. Nirmal Bangla Abhiyan: Cleaning the Zilla Sadar Hospital, Nadia 3. Donating clothes to the inmates of Krishnanagar Correctional Home 4. Blood donation camps 5. Eye donation & organ donation camps 6. Free Thalasaemia check up camps 7. Awareness & sensitisation camps on anti drug " |
